Glastonbury Fan Speculation Grows Over 2027 Headliners and Legends Slot

As anticipation builds for Glastonbury 2027, festival enthusiasts are busy speculating about the line-up, with particular focus on the coveted legends slot and the headlining acts. While the official announcement from the organisers is yet to materialise, keen observers have noted a potential clue in Harry Styles' touring schedule. After concluding his North American dates at the end of May, Styles does not resume performances until early July in Berlin, creating a clear gap during the festival dates of 23–27 June. This break has led many to believe that the pop star is set to claim one of the prestigious headliner spots.

On online forums such as Reddit, some fans are confidently stating that Styles' appearance is “nailed on” and “looks locked down.” The buzz extends to his supporting acts, which include well-known names like Kylie Minogue, LCD Soundsystem, and Tears for Fears. The alignment of their touring schedules with Glastonbury’s timeline has sparked discussion about their potential involvement, particularly in the Sunday teatime legends slot on the Pyramid Stage.

Among these, Tears for Fears have emerged as strong favourites for the legends slot. One Reddit user suggested they could headline the Other Stage or play the Pyramid’s sub slot before Styles, while others agreed that Tears for Fears would be an excellent choice for the legends performance.

Other performers generating speculation include Robbie Williams, Stevie Nicks, and Oasis. Fans have expressed enthusiasm about Robbie Williams filling the legends slot, noting his 30th anniversary of his debut album next year and the slot’s typical vibe. Some propose that if the festival features two male headliners, a female headliner and a female legends act, such as Stevie Nicks, could balance the bill. Oasis has also been mentioned nostalgically, with supporters hoping the band might return to the festival to make amends for their 2004 performance.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher appears to have dismissed the rumours surrounding Glastonbury on social media. Madonna, another name floated earlier in the year as a possible contender, has been ruled out by festival co-organiser Emily Eavis.

Past speculation incorrectly suggested Robbie Williams would perform a secret set at Glastonbury 2025 after fans misread a nostalgic social media post. However, he was touring in Belgium at the time and did not appear at the festival. On a lighter note, Williams joked on the Jonathan Ross Show about playing Glastonbury in 2026-a fallow year-mentioning he had not been asked to perform there since 1998 but would be keen to do so.

As the excitement builds, festival-goers await the official Glastonbury announcement to confirm which artists will grace the stages and define the 2027 festival experience.
