Glastonbury Dairy Duo Shine in Tom Kerridge’s M&S Butter Campaign

This week marks the debut of M&S’s latest Farm to Foodhall TV campaign, spotlighting artisanal butters with celebrity chef Tom Kerridge at the helm. The advert highlights Natalie and Simon Clapp of Brue Valley Farm, a fifth-generation, family-run dairy producer from Glastonbury.

Brue Valley Farm has been a trusted supplier to Marks & Spencer for over 40 years. Starting as cider makers, they transitioned to dairy in the 1950s and now craft M&S’s Collection butters—known for their slow-churned, rich texture and distinctive flavors.

In the advert, Tom Kerridge tastes the three Collection butter varieties: Garlic & Herb, Parmigiano & Truffle, and the exciting new Cowboy flavor. The Cowboy butter blends smoky paprika, chipotle chili flakes, and cayenne, perfect for burgers, grilled prawns, or sweetcorn. It’s available in selected stores and online through Ocado.

M&S’s Farm to Foodhall campaign includes TV, social media, and in-store marketing, showcasing Kerridge as he visits UK farmers and producers, offering an inside look at the journey from farm to table.

At Brue Valley, butter is crafted using traditional methods. Cream is slowly churned in vintage barrels, resulting in a unique open texture and intensified taste. Each batch is hand-flavored, rolled, and packaged on-site.

Natalie Clapp expressed pride in their enduring partnership with M&S and excitement about the campaign: “Working with Tom Kerridge to showcase the care we put into each butter roll has been incredible. Developing the recipes myself and seeing them on shelves is truly rewarding. I’m eager to hear what customers think of our new Cowboy flavor.”

Amy Chandler, M&S’s specialist technical manager, praised the team’s dedication: “Our Collection butters are a beloved product. Celebrating 40 years with Brue Valley is fantastic, and we look forward to expanding our collaboration with even more exceptional products for our customers.”
