The vibrant carnival season concluded spectacularly on Saturday night with the much-anticipated Glastonbury Carnival procession, lighting up the streets of Somerset. In a remarkable display of creativity and community spirit, Ramblers and Huckyduck Carnival Clubs achieved an extraordinary feat—securing victories at all seven carnivals this year and sharing the coveted county cup.
Both clubs replicated their winning streaks seen at Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare, North Petherton, Shepton Mallet, and Wells. At Glastonbury, Ramblers Carnival Club triumphed in the open feature class with their striking entry “1912 - All Out,” earning them top honors. Meanwhile, Huckyduck Carnival Club captivated judges with “Scarecrow Partea,” clinching first place in the open tableaux category.
Ramblers CC were followed by Renegades CC’s “Emerald City” and Gremlins CC’s “Morning of the Dragon” in second and third places, respectively. The local feature class was dominated by Masqueraders CC’s “Inventors (Tick, Tick, Boom!),” outshining Globe CC and others.

The best comic feature award went to Newmarket CC for “Ghost Chickens,” maintaining their winning streak across all six previous carnivals. Meanwhile, Rubalo Junior Carnival Club’s “The Spirit of Christmas” secured the juvenile feature title.
