Rumours are swirling that global pop icon Taylor Swift is poised to headline the Glastonbury Festival in 2027. According to sources cited by The Mail on Sunday, the 36-year-old superstar is “almost nailed on” to perform on the iconic Pyramid Stage at Somerset’s Worthy Farm next year.
Since wrapping up her mammoth 149-date Eras World Tour in December 2024, Swift has taken a break from live performances, intensifying curiosity about her next move. A music industry insider told the Daily Mail, “Taylor seems to be a dead cert. Everything is aligning, and it’s all going ahead positively.”
The potential headline slot would be a significant milestone for Glastonbury, which has faced criticism over the years for the scarcity of female headliners. While Olivia Rodrigo’s electrifying performance in 2025 made strides in this area, the festival has long been eager to secure a major female artist for its premier stage. “For many years there hasn’t been a big female headliner on the Pyramid Stage, and it’s something the organisers know is an issue. Taylor Swift would solve that problem,” the source added.
