Glastonbury 2027 Headliner Rumours: Sam Fender Emerges as Favourite

As the echoes of Glastonbury 2025 slowly fade, excitement and speculation are already building around the festival’s 2027 lineup. With 2026 set as a fallow year to give Worthy Farm’s grounds time to recover, fans are eagerly looking forward to the next grand celebration of music at the end of June 2027.

Leading the charge in the betting odds is Geordie singer-songwriter Sam Fender, who has been named a 2/1 favourite to headline the iconic Pyramid Stage. Close behind at 3/1 odds are global superstars Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, both commanding huge fanbases and massive commercial appeal.

A strong contingent of music icons is not far behind. Beyoncé, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and Eminem all share odds of 4/1, making them popular contenders for the prestigious headline slot. Additionally, the potential reunion of Oasis – with brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reportedly putting aside old differences – has stirred excitement, with the legendary band also placed at 4/1 odds to take centre stage.

Lee Phelps from William Hill commented on the early buzz: “The mammoth Glastonbury clear up might just be getting underway after this year’s festival, but the speculation about who will headline in 2027 is already heating up.” He added, “Sam Fender is currently our narrow favourite for the headline spot, with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran close behind, and several other stars like Eminem, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Miley Cyrus within striking distance.”

The resurgence of Oasis—the subject of much anticipation following their recent reconciliation—could significantly influence the festival’s future lineups. If the band’s comeback tour proves successful, their 4/1 odds might well convert into a headline reality.

Looking back at this year’s festival, The 1975 electrified the Pyramid Stage on Friday, Neil Young dominated Saturday night, and Olivia Rodrigo brought Sunday to a close. Adding to the weekend’s highlights, Sir Rod Stewart surprised fans with his Sunday Legends performance alongside guests Lulu and Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones.

In a nostalgic twist, 1990s indie icons Pulp revealed themselves as the secret ‘Patchwork’ act, delivering a memorable Saturday evening set. Unexpected appearances by artists like Lorde, Haim, and a father-son DJ duo—Fatboy Slim and Woody—added to the festival’s vibrant mix.

As anticipation builds for Glastonbury 2027, all eyes will be on these potential headliners as fans dream of who will next take to the Pyramid Stage.
