Sir Rod Stewart, the legendary 80-year-old rocker, has been forced into vocal rest after contracting the flu just weeks before his highly anticipated Glastonbury 2025 performance. The illness has already impacted his ongoing ‘One Last Time Tour,’ causing postponements and cancellations.
Recently, Stewart postponed his Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace initially scheduled for June 1, with the show rescheduled to June 10 as he recovers. Additionally, he canceled another performance at the same venue set for June 5, sharing a heartfelt message with fans: “My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding.”
This setback follows earlier signs of vocal strain during his European tour. Last month, after a concert in Milan, Stewart was seen wearing a sign around his neck that read, “Sorry. Cannot talk. Having vocal rest,” underscoring the seriousness of his condition. Encouragingly, he returned to the stage just three days later in Lisbon.

Despite these challenges, Stewart remains committed to his music. He has announced that while this year marks the end of his large-scale world tours, he has no plans to retire. Instead, he looks forward to more intimate performances, hinting at a possible Great American Songbook and Swing Fever tour in the near future.
Fans can expect Stewart to bring his legendary energy to the Sunday afternoon legends slot at Glastonbury on June 29, 2025. His resilience and passion for performing continue to inspire music lovers worldwide.
