Frome Town AFC is embarking on a fresh chapter following a change in ownership and the approval of a lease plan for its home stadium. After an earlier proposal to lease the club’s Badgers Hill ground to a private investor was rejected by Frome Town Council last month, a new agreement has now been reached.
On July 4, the club announced its acquisition by FTFC Ltd. Alongside this change, the council approved a lease of the Badgers Hill stadium and surrounding grounds to Badgers Hill Ltd., a company owned by FTFC Ltd. The club emphasizes that this lease secures the long-term future of the stadium, enabling strategic planning, essential investments, and maintaining local ownership.
FTFC Ltd. has established a dedicated framework ensuring that the facility will serve the entire Frome football community. Plans are underway to reopen the clubhouse and bar, creating a warm, welcoming hub for supporters, families, and local residents. Additionally, the club is organizing a volunteer day to help prepare for the upcoming pre-season.

Courtney Fong has been appointed chair of Frome Town FC, pending approval from The Football Association, stepping into the role formerly held by Derek Graham. The club expressed gratitude to Mr. Graham for his years of tireless leadership and dedication.
Mr. Fong said, “This is more than a change in ownership – it’s a new beginning fueled by the passion and pride of our supporters and community. We are committed to making Frome Town FC a club that excels both on the pitch and off, with a home that feels open and welcoming to all.”
On the sporting front, the club aims to contend strongly for promotion this season, urging fans to energize the team and fill the stands at every match. Season tickets for the new campaign are on sale now, with a challenge set to sell 100 by the end of July.
Reflecting on last season’s memorable moments, Mr. Fong added, “I still remember hearing a new chant rise at the Bath City away cup match. We’d love to hear new songs and see community spirit grow even louder this season.”
Local businesses also have the opportunity to support the club through sponsorship packages, details of which are available on the club’s official website.
