Throughout the Easter Holidays

Visit the Museum of Somerset, a free educational treasure housed in the 12th-century Taunton Castle. With fascinating exhibits on science and history, it’s a great day out for families. Throughout Easter, enjoy an Easter egg trail (£1 per child) with treats at the finish. On April 8, kids can decorate their own egg cups, and on April 9, they can create mini collections jars using pressed flowers.

Celebrate at Bath Racecourse with a fun-filled Easter event starting at noon. Families can enjoy Easter egg hunts, face painting, and fairground rides. Racing kicks off at 2pm and continues until 5:30pm. Best of all, children get in free. Booking online in advance is recommended.

Explore Barrington Court, a stunning Tudor manor near Ilminster famed for its beautiful rose, iris, and lily gardens. For those craving an adrenaline boost, sign up for the Easter Bunny 10K in Queen Camel, near Yeovil. Organized by Yeovil Town Running Club, this popular race welcomes up to 500 runners ready to celebrate spring with a spirited 10-kilometer challenge. Winners in male and female categories receive £100 each, with additional awards for juniors, seniors, and veterans. Registration closes Sunday, April 5 at 8pm and is available online.
