Free Horror Story Convention Comes to Weston-super-Mare

Halloween may be months away, but fans of spooky tales won’t have to wait to get their scare fix. The third annual Chapter 3: Weston Horror Book convention is coming to Weston-super-Mare, celebrating dark fiction and indie horror writing.

Organised by Indie Horror Chapter, this free event will take place on September 6 at The Royal Hotel. More than 40 independent horror authors from the UK and beyond will be on hand to meet readers, share their stories, and participate in engaging Q&A sessions and quizzes.

Unlike a typical book fair, Chapter 3 offers a unique, interactive experience where visitors can connect directly with some of the genre’s freshest voices. The event follows successful previous editions held in Birmingham and Canterbury.

Among the authors attending are Matt Shaw, Justin Boote, and DE McCluskey. In addition to promoting horror writing, the convention will also support the Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset Samaritans charity, raising funds for this vital community service.

Whether you’re a dedicated horror fan or simply curious, this event promises a thrilling day of storytelling and spooky fun.
