Former Award-Winning Business Set to Become Dream House in Bath and North East Somerset

In the latest planning news for Bath and North East Somerset and North Somerset, several unused commercial properties are set to be converted into residential homes. From a former “small business of the year” beauty salon to a vacant shop, these properties may soon be given a new lease on life.

One of the properties is a former award-winning beauty salon in Loxton, North Somerset, which closed due to the impact of Covid. The proposed plan seeks to convert the building into a two-bedroom bungalow. Similarly, an old garage in Whitchurch, Somerset, could be replaced with two three-bedroom homes, bringing new life to the vacant site. Additionally, a remote open-sided steel barn located between Chew Magna and North Wick in North East Somerset may be renovated to become a spacious rural family home.

Moreover, a prior approval application has been submitted to turn a vacant storefront in Weston-super-Mare into a one-bed apartment. These ambitious plans aim to repurpose underutilized commercial spaces into comfortable and modern residential properties.
