Forest Green Rovers Strengthen Promotion Bid with 2-0 Victory Over Yeovil Town

Forest Green Rovers, despite being reduced to ten men, continued their impressive push for promotion with a solid 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town at the Enterprise National League.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Jili Buyabu made a dynamic run down the left flank before delivering a precise cross to Temi Babalola, who finished powerfully to give Rovers the lead.

Yeovil’s hopes of a comeback were dealt a further blow when a clearance deflected off goalkeeper Jed Ward and crept into the net, resulting in an own goal credited to Ward and doubling Forest Green’s advantage.

Although Rovers were reduced to ten players after Harvey Bunker received a second yellow card, they remained resilient and managed to hold on for the win, extending their unbeaten streak to eight matches and keeping their promotion ambitions very much alive.
