Forest Green Rovers, despite being reduced to ten men, continued their impressive push for promotion with a solid 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town at the Enterprise National League.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Jili Buyabu made a dynamic run down the left flank before delivering a precise cross to Temi Babalola, who finished powerfully to give Rovers the lead.
Yeovil’s hopes of a comeback were dealt a further blow when a clearance deflected off goalkeeper Jed Ward and crept into the net, resulting in an own goal credited to Ward and doubling Forest Green’s advantage.
