Forest Green Rovers Strengthen Promotion Bid with 2-0 Victory Over Yeovil Town

Forest Green Rovers continued their strong push for promotion in the National League with a solid 2-0 victory against Yeovil Town at Huish Park. Despite being reduced to ten men, Robbie Savage’s side showcased resilience and determination to claim the three points.

The opening goal came early, in the 16th minute, when Jili Buyabu made a powerful run down the left flank and delivered a precise cut-back to Temi Babalola, who fired the ball emphatically into the back of the net.

Yeovil struggled to break through the Rovers' defence, and their resistance was further undermined when a clearance off the Forest Green defence deflected off Yeovil goalkeeper Jed Ward and found its way into the goal, officially recorded as an own goal.

Forest Green faced adversity when Harvey Bunker received a second yellow card, reducing his team to ten players. Nevertheless, the Rovers held firm and extended their unbeaten run to eight matches, solidifying their position in the promotion race.
