A five-year-old girl is currently hospitalized with potentially life-altering injuries after being struck by an electric bike near her home in Weston-super-Mare. The incident occurred around 7:50 pm on Thursday, July 24, on Brompton Road, where the child was walking on the pavement.
The rider, operating an electric-blue and black motorbike resembling a Surron or Talaria model, collided with the girl before fleeing the scene. Police describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 17 or 18 years old, dressed in black clothing including a hooded top and a balaclava. Notably, his jacket featured a distinctive motif embroidered or printed across the back of the shoulders.
The e-bike itself is easily recognizable by its electric-blue color with black accents and front forks wrapped in white or reflective striping. Avon and Somerset Police have conducted CCTV investigations and are now appealing to the public for assistance in locating the rider and the vehicle.
