A significant fire broke out this afternoon at Animal Farm Adventure Park in Berrow, near Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, resulting in the complete destruction of a large building. The blaze was reported at 3:37 pm on Tuesday, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Four fire engines from Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, and Cheddar stations rushed to the scene. Firefighters battled the flames using two hose reel jets, two main jets, and breathing apparatus to safely extinguish the fire. The affected structure, measuring approximately 30 meters by 50 meters, was entirely consumed by the blaze.
Additional support came from two appliances dispatched by Avon Fire and Rescue Service. Authorities have confirmed that the fire is not believed to have been started deliberately, and investigations into the cause are ongoing.
