Clarks Village in Somerset has announced the return of its popular festive ice rink, promising another magical experience for visitors this holiday season. The extensive 585 square metre rink, featuring authentic ice, will be fully covered to ensure skating can continue regardless of the winter weather.
The rink will be open over a seven-week period, from 10 November through 3 January. Located on the lawn of the Shoemakers Museum, it will have a dedicated entrance from the Village’s Restaurant Terrace, making it easily accessible for shoppers and families alike.
Mike Jones, Centre Director at Clarks Village, expressed enthusiasm about the rink’s return: “We’re delighted to bring back the festive ice rink for the entire Christmas season. Whether you’re visiting specifically to skate or combining it with our outlet shopping, it offers a fun and festive experience for all the family. With late-night restaurant openings, free evening parking, and plenty to enjoy both on and off the ice, we look forward to welcoming guests to celebrate the season in style.”
The rink will offer a variety of themed sessions including after-school skating, parent and toddler sessions, quiet times, disco nights, and 2-for-1 offers. New for this year are ‘skate and sing’ sessions, adding a musical twist to the ice skating experience.
For the past two years, Clarks Village has hosted the World’s Biggest Santa Skate and World’s Biggest Elf Skate, encouraging guests to dress festively for free family skating sessions aimed at setting new world records.
Tickets will be available from Monday 5 October, with an early bird discount of 20%. Each session lasts 45 minutes, priced from £14 for adults and starting at £12 for children aged 12 and under. Family tickets are also available, from £44. Parent and toddler sessions offer an additional benefit where one child under five skates free with every adult ticket, and free skate aids are provided.
