Feral Youths Terrorising Somerset Village with Animal Abuse and Vandalism

A group of teenage boys, reportedly as young as 14, are causing unrest in the Somerset village of Peasedown St John. Over recent weeks, residents have reported alarming incidents ranging from animal abuse to widespread vandalism.

Avon and Somerset Police are actively investigating multiple cases of anti-social behaviour in the area, with a particular focus on the Orchard Way neighbourhood. Disturbing reports include damage to local trees and bus shelters, deliberate harm to wildlife such as birds and hedgehogs, and youths knocking on residents’ doors in the early hours, unsettling the community.

In an official statement, the local police team said: “We are currently looking into several reports of anti-social behaviour around Peasedown St John, especially near Orchard Way. These include damage to public property, early morning disturbances, and concerning acts of wildlife harm. The individuals involved are believed to be a group of males approximately 14 years old. Although official reports are limited, we are aware of additional incidents that have not been formally reported.”

Police are urging local residents to report any further criminal damage, wildlife crimes, or any other anti-social behaviour. Incidents can be reported by calling 101 or submitting an online report. Anyone with information relevant to the case is encouraged to contact the Neighbourhood Policing Team, helping to restore safety and order in the village.
