A tragic collision in Somerset has resulted in the passing of the driver of a VW Polo. The incident occurred on Berhill near Street, and has left the community shaken. The VW Polo collided with a Mini, leading to severe injuries to the Mini’s driver, who was promptly airlifted to the hospital by the Air Ambulance.
Appealing to potential witnesses and individuals with dashcam footage, the Avon and Somerset Constabulary have called for anyone who might have been in the vicinity of Berhill, Street, around 7.30 am on Monday, November 27th, to come forward. The police are particularly interested in speaking to those who may have witnessed the collision between the VW Polo and the Mini.
Expressing their condolences, the Constabulary stated, “The driver of the VW sadly died at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family at this time and they are being offered support by a specially-trained family liaison officer.”

Furthermore, they provided information about the condition of the Mini’s driver, “The driver of the Mini was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. They are not believed to be life-threatening injuries.”
The appeal for information was reiterated, “If you were in the area at the time of the collision, or the time leading up to it, and have any information or relevant footage, please contact us.”
