In Warminster, a family-run farm has transformed part of its land into a vibrant swimming space, blending rural charm with community spirit. Manor Farm, located in Tytherington, has partnered with Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath to open a purpose-built swimming pool designed to teach children of all ages essential water skills.
The new facility officially opened its doors on Wednesday, June 25, marking the expansion of Puddle Ducks into this unique rural setting. Offering a variety of classes—including baby and pre-school swimming, Swim Academy sessions, and Aquanatal classes—the pool caters to a wide range of swimmers in the local community.
This exciting project took six years of collaboration and thorough planning between the swim school and farm owners, Peter and Steph Corp. The pool was built on the site of the farm’s old barn, marking a new chapter for the working beef farm.

Diana Heathcote from Puddle Ducks Bristol and Bath expressed her enthusiasm about the project: “Working alongside Peter and Steph over the years to bring this pool to life has been truly rewarding. Now that it’s open, we’re thrilled to offer lessons throughout the week and on Sunday mornings, welcoming families with children from babies to school age. It’s wonderful to see children learning to swim in such a supportive environment.”
Peter Corp highlighted the farm’s vision for the new facility: “We wanted to diversify and felt that converting the site of our old barn into a swimming pool would provide a valuable service to the community. Partnering with Puddle Ducks, known for their excellent reputation locally, was a perfect fit.”
The swim school prides itself on adaptive teaching methods, with instructors tailoring lessons to each child’s ability to ensure a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
Local parent Becky Pickles shared her positive experience: “The class was fantastic today—my son James absolutely loved it! The new pool is truly impressive.”
