A disturbing act of vandalism targeted the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Minehead, Somerset, involving far-right symbols and dog faeces. Between Sunday, February 15 and Tuesday, February 17, individuals defaced the church’s letterbox with paint and left a threatening letter along with dog excrement inside the premises.
The hostility escalated overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday when a vehicle nearby suffered damage marked with far-right insignia. Avon and Somerset Police are actively investigating these incidents and have appealed to the public for assistance.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the events or has CCTV and dashcam footage from the Mart Road and Glenmore Road areas around the dates mentioned to come forward. Officers have increased patrols in the area to offer reassurance and are treating the offenses as religiously aggravated criminal damage.
