A disturbing act of vandalism has targeted the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Minehead, Somerset, where far-right symbols were sprayed alongside the unsettling placement of dog excrement. Between Sunday, February 15 and Tuesday, February 17, the church’s letterbox was defaced with paint, and a threatening letter accompanied by dog faeces was left inside the building.
In a related incident the following night, from February 17 to 18, a nearby vehicle was also vandalized with far-right symbols, escalating concerns about hate-motivated actions in the area.
Avon and Somerset Police have launched an investigation into these racially and religiously aggravated crimes. Officers are conducting uniformed patrols to reassure the community and are appealing to the public for information. They are particularly interested in any CCTV or dashcam footage from the Mart Road and Glenmore Road vicinity during the specified dates.
