The family of Scott Morris, a 52-year-old man who was reported missing on Thursday, 23 July, have expressed their heartfelt thanks to the local community and police for their efforts in searching for him.
Scott’s disappearance prompted a thorough search operation, which continued until a body believed to be his was discovered near the northbound carriageway of the M5 motorway, between Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare.
In a tribute issued through Avon and Somerset Police, Scott’s family said: “They wish to thank the local community and individuals for their support in looking for Scott. This is an incredibly difficult time for everyone who knew and loved him, and they respectfully ask for privacy to be maintained.”
