A family is grappling with overwhelming grief following the tragic loss of Adam McClelland, a 26-year-old father of two, who died in an alleged hit-and-run crash in Poole.
The fatal collision occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, January 7, on Wimborne Road near the junction with Heath Avenue in Oakdale. Emergency services responded to reports around 2 a.m. and found Adam unresponsive at the scene. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead immediately.
Police investigations revealed that Adam had been struck by a vehicle whose driver failed to stop and render assistance. A 51-year-old man from Bournemouth was later arrested on suspicion of driving offenses but has since been released on bail as inquiries continue.
