Search teams continue their efforts to locate Scott, a 52-year-old man from Weston-super-Mare, who was last seen cycling in the village of Bleadon on the evening of Thursday, 23 July. Scott was spotted around 5.40pm riding a distinctive silver BMX-style bike.
The Weston-super-Mare Coastguard Rescue Team led search operations on Friday and Saturday, with a significant presence centred around Catherine’s Inn. They were supported by coastguard units from Burnham-on-Sea, Avon and Somerset Police, Avon Fire and Rescue Service, Exmoor Search and Rescue, and the RNLI.
Despite thorough searches of Bleadon and its surrounding areas, Scott has yet to be found. The Coastguard remains on standby, ready to provide assistance to the police as needed.

According to Avon and Somerset Police, Scott is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, slim, with short dark hair. At the time he was last seen, he was wearing dark shorts, a light-coloured shirt, a beige hat, boots, and was carrying a green rucksack. Police believe he may currently be on foot.
A police spokesperson urged anyone with information about Scott’s whereabouts to contact the emergency services promptly. “If you know where Scott is, please call 999 quoting reference 5226207277, or call 101 to provide any other information,” they said.
