Bath and North East Somerset Council has announced a series of temporary road closures and restrictions throughout the region from 28 September 2026 to facilitate essential upgrades to gas, electricity, water, and fibre infrastructure.
These works, carried out in phases, will impact various areas including the city centre, Lansdown, Larkhall, and beyond. Detailed diversions will be clearly signposted on-site, and access for residents will be maintained wherever it is safe to do so. Marshals may be present to help manage access during active work periods.
While some restrictions may last up to six months to accommodate scheduling, the majority of individual works are expected to be completed within timespans ranging from two days to four weeks. Notably, there are two city centre and park projects authorised for up to 18 months.
