To my surprise, my picture-taking was met with unusual reactions from some locals. A strange encounter with a man and woman, their hushed plea, left me questioning the town’s reception of visitors.
Bridgwater has garnered attention for both industrial developments and reports of antisocial behavior making national headlines. However, local perspectives on the issue vary. While the town faces challenges, it also boasts shopping options and residents who are kind-hearted and welcoming.
Beyond its struggles, Bridgwater boasts hidden gems and a lively creative scene, evident in its unique workshops and the grand annual carnival, cherished by many as a deeply-rooted tradition.
