Exciting New Planning Applications in Somerset

Some intriguing proposals have been submitted to Somerset Council for planning permission, including the establishment of a kit car workshop, the conversion of a care home into flats, and modifications to a major commercial development site. The decisions on most plans will be made by council planning officers, while the more significant or contentious ones will go before one of the council’s five planning committees. It’s important that these decisions are based on the council’s planning policies, rather than local politics.

Anthony Hale has applied for a certificate of lawfulness to formalize his garage’s use as a base for building kit cars on the outskirts of Wellington. The Popham Court care home is seeking permission to transform the facility into 29 flats, and the Keyford Meadows development is making changes to the retail units' uses. Additionally, the Burnham-on-Sea Motor Boat and Sailing Club, as well as the Woodrow Farm, have exciting development plans in the pipeline.
