Estate Agent Geraldine White Passes Away After Horse-Riding Accident

Geraldine White, a cherished estate agent renowned for her unwavering dedication and vibrant spirit, has sadly died after a horse-riding incident on October 25. The 76-year-old Assistant Manager at Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s Chard Residential Office sustained serious injuries and passed away shortly thereafter.

Having joined Greenslade Taylor Hunt in 1993 under the leadership of Chris Handel, Geraldine’s three-decade career made her a trusted and familiar presence in Chard’s property market. She played a pivotal role in helping hundreds of residents buy and sell their homes, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.

A representative from Greenslade Taylor Hunt remembered Geraldine as “a highly valued and loyal member of our team, whose professionalism, energy, and commitment were unparalleled. Even in recent years, she remained an outstanding performer and an inspiring colleague.”

Beyond her professional life, Geraldine was deeply passionate about horse riding and was an avid endurance competitor. She also loved long-distance walking, often embarking on challenging 30-mile treks. Her competitive spirit, kindness, and professionalism left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Heather Giles, chair of the Dorset Long Distance Walking Association and a close friend of Geraldine, shared heartfelt memories: “Geraldine was one of the most generous people I have ever met. We shared 25 years of friendship, countless adventures, rides, and walks – including a recent trek along the Ridgeway last September. Her spirit and friendship were truly inspiring.”

Her family, friends, and colleagues remember Geraldine with great fondness and mourn the loss of a remarkable woman whose vibrant energy touched many lives.
