Bath Rugby have confirmed that tighthead prop Kieran Verden has signed a one-year contract extension, strengthening the club’s front row depth for the upcoming season.
Since making his professional debut against Worcester Warriors in 2020, 25-year-old Verden has become an invaluable squad member. He has consistently stepped up during international windows, covering for key players like Thomas du Toit, Will Stuart, and Archie Griffin. To date, Verden has made 34 appearances, including a starting role in Bath’s victorious Premiership Rugby Cup final against Exeter Chiefs in the 2024/25 season.
The new deal will see Verden remain at the club through the 2026/27 season, alongside fellow tightheads Vilikesa Sela and Will Stuart. Meanwhile, Thomas du Toit is set to leave at the end of the current campaign to return to the Sharks in South Africa.

Reflecting on his contract extension, Verden shared: “Renewing my contract at Bath is a proud moment for me and my family. The fans create an electric atmosphere at The Rec, making every matchday special. It’s been a rewarding journey so far, and I’m eager to keep pushing for success with the club.”
