Eastleigh and Yeovil Town Share Points in 1-1 Draw at Huish Park

Eastleigh secured a valuable away point with a 1-1 draw against Yeovil Town at Huish Park in the Enterprise National League. The match saw both teams battling hard, with neither able to claim all three points.

Yeovil took the lead in the 28th minute when Luke McCormick capitalized on a Josh Sims’ mistake. Sims intercepted an error and cleverly set up McCormick, who coolly slotted the ball into the bottom corner to give the Glovers the advantage.

Eastleigh fought back before halftime, earning a penalty after Morgan Williams fouled Harvey Saunders in the box. Aaron Blair stepped up and confidently converted from the spot during first-half stoppage time to level the scores at 1-1.

In the second half, McCormick came close to restoring Yeovil’s lead but was unable to convert several chances. Eastleigh goalkeeper Nick Townsend was also impressive, making a crucial save to deny James Daly a potential winner. Despite the pressure from both sides, neither team managed to break the deadlock again, concluding the match as a well-earned draw.
