Dunelm has triumphantly reopened its Yeovil store following a destructive fire last year that led to a comprehensive seven-month refurbishment. Located in the Quedam Shopping Centre, the 24,003 sq ft flagship now boasts refreshed departments, enhanced displays, and notable expansions—most significantly within the Made to Measure and curtain sections.
The revitalized store showcases Dunelm’s diverse range, featuring furniture, soft furnishings, décor, kitchenware, and storage solutions alongside the latest Autumn, Winter, and Christmas collections. Shoppers can draw inspiration from thoughtfully curated homewares suited to every style and preference.
Central to the redesign is the new Made to Measure department, where customers collaborate with expert staff to create bespoke curtains, blinds, and shutters tailored precisely to their needs. Adding to the inviting in-store experience is the new Pausa Café, a relaxing space where visitors can enjoy hot and cold meals, including a festive menu benefiting Age UK through charitable contributions from select items.

To celebrate the reopening, the first 100 customers received exclusive Dunelm product goody bags, while 20 hidden golden tickets offered vouchers ranging from £5 to £20, encouraging visitors to explore the store’s offerings.
Kelly Warnock, Store Coach at Dunelm Yeovil, expressed heartfelt appreciation: “The fire was devastating for our team and community. This reopening is a milestone we’ve eagerly awaited. Thanks to the incredible local support and our dedicated colleagues, the new store shines brighter and more spaciously. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back.”
The fire, which occurred on August 25, 2024, affected the store’s roof and contents due to smoke and water damage. Fortunately, the cause was determined to be accidental, allowing the team to rebuild with renewed strength and community spirit.
