Louise Kimber, 43, was caught driving with a blood alcohol level more than three times over the legal limit, endangering the lives of four children in her car. She was observed swerving across the road and even driving into a hedge by an off-duty police officer, who then notified the authorities.
After being located by the police, Kimber was arrested and pleaded guilty to drink driving and careless driving. As a result, she has been disqualified from driving for 60 months, ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, and given a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for two years.
PC Munns from Salisbury Team 1A Response emphasized that drink driving is one of the ‘Fatal Five’ offenses, posing a significant risk to both the driver and others on the road. The officer stressed that there is no excuse for getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol.
