Rachael Beer was apprehended in Weston-super-Mare on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, where authorities found 30 kilos of cocaine in the boot of her car, equating to a street value of £2.4m.
Additionally, a search of her residence led to the discovery of a safe containing over £34,000 in cash and a cash counting machine.
Subsequent analysis of her mobile phone led to the arrest of Devon Feltham and Courtney Feltham, as it revealed their involvement in the collection and re-distribution of around 170 kilos of cocaine between September 2023 and January 2024.
Further investigations led to the identification and arrest of Thomas Beasley, Joel Powis, and Harry Dyer in April 2024. Dyer’s garage search yielded around 100 grams of ketamine.
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Lavender, head of the Serious and Organised Crime Team at Avon and Somerset Police, emphasized the impact of the bust, stating, “This operation uncovered a multi-million pound drug distribution network supplying cocaine across the South West."
He added, “The trade of drugs like cocaine inflicts distress and suffering in our communities and leads to further crimes committed to sustain addictions. Curtailing the supply of these harmful substances is a top priority for us, and while perpetrators may believe they are operating covertly, operations such as this demonstrate that they have no sanctuary, and substantial prison sentences await them.”
