A driver was trapped inside their vehicle following a collision between two cars in Somerset.
The accident occurred at Holton, near Wincanton, around 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28. Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service arrived to find one driver trapped inside their car. They promptly assessed the driver’s condition while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

Once the paramedics were on site, crews coordinated a careful plan to safely extricate the trapped driver. The rescue operation was successfully completed, and the driver was handed over to ambulance staff for further medical attention.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service stated: “Crews made contact with the driver to assess injuries until paramedics arrived. Once paramedics were on scene, a plan was formulated to remove the driver. The driver was removed safely and handed over to ambulance crews.”
