Driver jailed for dangerous collision injuring three

Benjamin Charles Foster, 35, from Yeovil, has been sentenced to four years in prison for his reckless actions that led to a devastating collision on the A30 near Sherborne. Foster, driving an uninsured minibus, crashed into a red Toyota Yaris and a red Volkswagen Polo, causing serious injuries to three individuals.

Witnesses report that Foster drove the minibus into a filter lane, then continued onward towards oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on collision with the red Toyota Yaris. The subsequent collision with the red Volkswagen Polo further exacerbated the situation. A man in his 60s was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, while a man and a woman in their late teens were also hospitalized.

Foster pleaded guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, in addition to charges of driving without a valid license and without third-party insurance. Following a thorough investigation, Foster was arrested and charged. He was also disqualified from driving for seven years.
