Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A46 near Bath that occurred on 11 July. At 3:06 pm, emergency services were called to a crash involving a white Dacia and a black Range Rover near Upper Swainswick.
All three occupants of the Dacia were transported to hospital. Sadly, the driver passed away later that evening. Police have expressed their condolences to the family, who are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.
A woman and a child, both passengers in the vehicle, remain in hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Authorities arrested a man in his thirties last night in Wiltshire on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on conditional police bail as investigations continue.
The A46 was temporarily closed to allow emergency response and initial inquiries but has now reopened.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage of a black Range Rover traveling westbound on the M4 or southbound on the A46 on the afternoon of 11 July to come forward. Witnesses are asked to call 101 and reference crime number 5226192720.
