Dream Holiday for Young Cancer Survivor

At 21-months old, Bodhi Atterton was diagnosed with T Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, beginning a two-year battle against cancer. With just over four months left of treatment, Bodhi and his family are tentatively anticipating life after the hospital and hoping for a celebratory holiday abroad. They hope to mark the end of Bodhi’s leukemia treatment with a dream holiday in Florida. The family has been offered a summer adventure with Kids Cancer Charity in July next year, including a week at Give Kids the World, a charity villa, and another week in an Airbnb. Mother Alice has initiated a fundraiser to help make this special trip a reality, aiming to cover flight costs and expenses for the duration of their stay.

Writing on GoFundMe, she expressed the financial strain of battling cancer, with both parents having to take significant time off work. Acknowledging the burden, they are reaching out for support to help provide Bodhi with a spectacular getaway following his treatment. Bodhi, a cricket enthusiast, was previously treated to a memorable day out with Somerset County Cricket Club, further emphasizing the community’s support for him.
