Dorset Council Announces Road Closure and Resurfacing Works on Park Grove, Stalbridge

Dorset Council has announced a temporary closure of Park Grove in Stalbridge to carry out important carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works. The closure order, dated 3 September 2026, will come into effect from 18 September and is expected to last until 21 September 2026, subject to weather conditions and on-site signage.

The closure will apply in both directions along a 540-metre stretch between Grove Lane and Barrow Hill junctions. To facilitate the works, a clearway and parking suspension will also be enforced along this section, ensuring the carriageway remains free for the crews and machinery involved in the project. Motorists should note that any vehicle found waiting in contravention of the restrictions may be removed in accordance with the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. Drivers using a vehicle in violation of the closure notice may face fines of up to £1,000.
