Domino’s is revolutionizing fast food with the launch of its first modular ‘pod’ store in the UK, serving up hot pizzas and special prizes to celebrate the milestone. This compact, state-of-the-art pizza hub opens on Monday, November 3, at Westpark 26 Business Park in Wellington, Somerset, marking the first of its kind in the South West.
The pod store, over a quarter smaller than traditional Domino’s outlets, prides itself on delivering speed, convenience, and quality without sacrificing the classic Domino’s experience. Built in just six weeks and weighing approximately 23 tonnes, it’s strategically positioned to serve both motorists traveling along the M5 and visitors to the site’s electric vehicle charging station. The store offers delivery and collection services every day from 11:30am to 11pm.
To celebrate the grand opening, Domino’s will give away 250 complimentary pizzas during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30am. There will also be exciting prize hunts featuring Domino’s ‘Golden Tickets’ hidden around the retail park on November 3 and November 8. Winners can claim pizza vouchers, Coca-Cola products, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and exclusive merchandise like pod-inspired headphones.

This Wellington pod is pioneering Domino’s new chicken-focused sub-brand, CHICK ’N’ DIP, in the region. Launched in select stores in September 2025, this menu features Tenders, Wings, and Boneless Bites accompanied by nine internationally inspired dipping sauces.
Franchise partner Graeme Rose expressed his enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to bring Domino’s first pod store to Wellington, offering not only our beloved pizzas but also the new CHICK ’N’ DIP. This format is designed to meet the needs of Westpark visitors and locals alike with fresh, hot meals served fast.”
The new store is also creating local jobs, with store manager Beth King exemplifying growth opportunities—she started at Domino’s as a pizza maker and has advanced to management. Graeme also announced recruitment for drivers ahead of the busy holiday season, welcoming applicants seeking flexible hours or new career paths.
In celebration, Domino’s is offering 50% off any pizza size through the Domino’s app until Thursday, November 13, plus collection-only deals priced at £8.99 for medium pizzas and £10.99 for large pizzas with two toppings.
