Domino’s has unveiled its very first UK ‘pod store’ near the M5, offering a fresh and efficient way for motorists to grab hot, delicious pizza. Situated at Westpark 26 Business Park near Wellington in Somerset, this compact 720-square-foot modular outlet delivers the full Domino’s experience, despite being over 25% smaller than a typical store.
Open seven days a week from 11:30am to 11pm, the pod caters to both delivery and collection customers, making it an ideal stop for travelers and locals alike. Franchisee Graeme Rose shared, “After searching for the perfect location, this opportunity arose through MFG. We embraced the new Domino’s pod concept and are incredibly proud to bring it to life today.”
To celebrate the launch on November 3, Domino’s treated the first 250 customers to complimentary pizzas and introduced ‘Golden Tickets’ around the retail park, offering prizes like vouchers, branded headphones, Coca-Cola, and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

The store is managed by Beth King, a Paignton native who rose from assistant manager in Taunton to lead this innovative site. “I’m over the moon and truly honoured to run the first UK pod,” she said. Beth praised the Wellington community’s warm welcome and excitement surrounding the opening.
The new location has generated 25 jobs so far, with ongoing recruitment for drivers and in-store staff. Beth remarked, “We’re thrilled to provide new career opportunities and support those looking for work.”
Learning and Development Manager Ellie-May Dinam highlighted the extensive preparation for the pod launch, especially focusing on the new chicken menu. Local mayor Janet Lloyd praised the addition, saying, “Domino’s complements the existing food options and will be very popular for quick delivery.”
To mark the occasion, Domino’s is offering a 50% discount on any size pizza ordered through their app until November 13. In-store deals include medium pizzas with two toppings for £8.99 and large pizzas for £10.99, perfect for takeaway customers.
