Discover the Excitement of Emberwood: Bath’s New Open-Fire Restaurant and Cocktail Bar

Bath welcomes a new open-fire restaurant and cocktail bar, Emberwood, that is already generating buzz with a menu inspired by the best produce Somerset has to offer. The exciting aspect of dining at Emberwood is the promise that the food will be prepared “with theatre” in its open kitchen and charcoal-fired hearth, providing guests with a unique and entertaining culinary experience.

Executive head chef David Hazell leads the kitchen, curating dishes that spotlight ingredients from local producers and the art of seasonal cooking. With a focus on celebrating the rich agricultural bounty of Somerset and the South West, the menu offers a refreshing take on traditional dishes, and the desserts promise a “fresh modern twist”.

Complementing the restaurant, the plush bar area boasts a carefully curated selection of wines and signature cocktails that aim to reflect the charm of the surrounding countryside and the finesse of British mixology. Notably, the cocktail list is crafted by a team of experts, including Zoe Burgess, author of The Cocktail Cabinet and director of drinks consultancy Atelier Pip.

Emberwood, a pivotal part of the Francis Hotel’s multimillion-pound refurbishment on Queen Square, pays homage to architect John Wood senior, who once resided in the Georgian building on Barton Street.

The menu at Emberwood is set to feature an array of starters, main courses, indulgent desserts, and an enticing selection of cocktails.

Anticipation is high as Emberwood prepares to open its doors in May, with reservations set to open on April 3.
