The much-loved Medieval Christmas Market and the Visit Santa Experience are returning to Glastonbury Abbey this festive season. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 29, and Sunday, November 30, as these popular family events kick off alongside Glastonbury’s Frost Fayre weekend.
During the weekend, the abbey will open its doors to visitors for free, inviting everyone to explore a magical medieval Christmas market set amidst the stunning abbey ruins. Attendees can browse over 50 artisan stalls offering unique handmade gifts, savour delicious food and drinks including traditional mulled cider and mead, and soak up the festive atmosphere within the historic grounds.
The Medieval Christmas Market will be open from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday and from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday. Additional entertainment and activities will be announced soon, promising even more festive fun for all ages.

But the festivities don’t stop there! Families are in for a treat with the return of the Visit Santa Experience at Abbey House. Visitors can enjoy festive crafts, meet Santa Claus in person, capture memorable photos, and receive a special gift from Santa himself. Each child may bring up to two adults for free during their visit.
