Yeovil Town Football Club has announced the resignation of manager Danny Webb, who stepped down after only ten days in charge. Webb’s brief tenure included a single match, a narrow 1-0 defeat to Tamworth, before he decided to prioritize his family and personal matters.
Having left Chesterfield earlier this month, Webb was appointed to lead the National League club with high hopes. However, the club confirmed that Webb “expressed his personal sadness” about leaving but emphasized the importance of putting his family first.
In response, Yeovil Town has appointed Richard Dryden as interim manager for the remainder of the season. Dryden, who previously managed the club temporarily following Mark Cooper’s dismissal in August, will have access to increased resources to strengthen the squad and stabilize the team’s performance.

The club’s statement read: “Danny has expressed his personal sadness about leaving, yet feels this is the right decision for his family. Though we are disappointed by the timing, we fully respect his choice. Our focus now is on maintaining the team’s stability and success.”
Fans and supporters are called upon to unite behind Dryden and the players as Yeovil Town faces the upcoming matches. The club extends its best wishes to Webb and his family during this time.
