Dangerous Paedophile Sentenced to 14 Years for Child Rape

Daniel Bee, 31, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison following his conviction for raping a child. Described by authorities as “very dangerous,” Bee’s actions have led to a significant sentence reflecting the gravity of his crimes.

Bee, who has no fixed address, was found guilty by a jury on January 29, 2025, and sentenced at court on March 6. The judge labeled him as posing a “significant risk” to the public. Officials from Avon and Somerset Police echoed these concerns, emphasizing the danger he represents.

The case came to light after police discovered Bee with a teenage girl in a caravan in January 2025, a week after the girl was found at his hotel room. The victim bravely came forward and recounted the abuse she suffered.

In a statement read during sentencing, the victim expressed the lasting trauma and fear caused by Bee’s actions: “I feel numb… it all repeats in my head and I want to move on, or at least try, but [I am] always brought back to square one. I’m constantly on edge, like what if he finds me and does it again, or worse. I will never look at a man the same way again. He is a vile man. He should be locked up forever.”

His Honour Judge Climie described Bee’s conduct as “wholly warped,” sentencing him to 13 years for the rape itself, with additional sentences totaling 12 months for stalking, dangerous driving, and breaching bail conditions. Bee’s licence was extended by four years, and he is subject to a lifelong restraining order.

Detective Constable Kerrie Paxton praised the victim’s courage, stating, “The strength and bravery of our victim at such a young age is something to be recognised. Through her courage in speaking out, a very dangerous individual has been locked away and is no longer a risk to other people.”

She added, “Bee’s total disregard for the law and the safety of others makes him a significant threat to the public. The Avon and Somerset Child Protection Unit remains committed to protecting young people and bringing offenders like Bee to justice.”
