Dangerous Driver Pleads Guilty After Serious A303 Collision

A 30-year-old man has admitted to causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a collision on the A303 that left a 60-year-old motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.

Muhammad Umair, of Sandhurst, appeared at Swindon Crown Court today (Monday, May 25) in relation to the crash that occurred on Saturday evening, May 23, near Stonehenge.

The incident took place around 5:50 pm when a Toyota Yaris and a BMW R1250 motorcycle, both traveling eastbound near Bulford, collided. Emergency services responded promptly, and the motorcycle rider was rushed to hospital with critical injuries.

Umair, a Pakistani national, has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to return to Swindon Crown Court on June 26 for sentencing.
