Dan Ellison Focused on Strong Finish for Yeovil Town This Season

Dan Ellison marked a triumphant return to Yeovil Town over the weekend and is determined to make a strong impact in the final three games of the season.

After spending an additional month on loan at Weston-super-Mare, Ellison came off the bench during Yeovil’s Good Friday victory over Truro City. He then featured throughout the entire match and scored in the narrow defeat to Eastleigh on Monday.

During his recent spell at Weston, Ellison started eight matches as the club pushed to secure a place in the National League South play-offs, potentially setting up a clash with Yeovil next season in the National League.

Reflecting on the Eastleigh game, Ellison said, “It’s been a challenging season mentally, moving on from Bristol Rovers, then joining Yeovil, and spending time at Weston, which was brilliant. I felt I did really well there and thoroughly enjoyed my time. It’s a great club, and I hope they achieve promotion.”

Returning to Yeovil, Ellison expressed his determination: “Being back here is exactly what I wanted. I want to prove myself, and now that I’m getting opportunities, I’m happy to contribute until the season’s end. Scoring a goal was special, especially since it’s been a while. Although the result wasn’t what we wanted against Eastleigh, we were close.”

On earning his place in the starting lineup, Ellison added, “I came here to be a starter, and while it didn’t happen initially, going to Weston helped me earn that chance. I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to play my part for the team through the final fixtures.”
