Dan Ellison made a notable return to Yeovil Town over the weekend and is determined to help the team finish the season on a high note. After a productive loan spell at Weston-super-Mare, Ellison rejoined the Glovers in time to contribute in their recent matches.
Ellison came off the bench during Yeovil’s Good Friday victory against Truro City and then started and scored in the subsequent match against Eastleigh on Monday, despite the team suffering a defeat. His time at Weston-super-Mare saw him make eight starts as the club pushed for a National League South play-off spot, potentially setting up a future encounter with Yeovil in the National League.
Reflecting on his journey, Ellison said, “It’s been a tough season mentally, moving on from Bristol Rovers, joining Yeovil, and then heading to Weston which was brilliant. I felt I did really well at Weston and truly enjoyed my time there. They’re a great club, and I hope they succeed and earn promotion.”

Returning to Yeovil has been a key goal for Ellison. “Coming back here is everything I wanted. It’s my chance to prove myself, and I’m grateful for this opportunity. The game against Eastleigh was tough, but I think I performed well and was pleased to score—my first goal in a while,” he added. “It was disappointing not to get a result, but we were close. I’ve always wanted to be a starter here and, while that didn’t happen initially, my performances at Weston have earned me this opportunity. I’m looking forward to playing hard and contributing in the final games of the season.”
