Dad Tries Iceland’s £25 Christmas Dinner in a Box and Spots One Key Missing Item

For many, the joy of Christmas dinner often comes with hours of preparation—roasting turkey, crisping potatoes, and simmering gravy can consume the entire festive day. Enter Iceland, offering a £25 Christmas dinner in a box designed to feed up to four people, promising an easy, hassle-free festive meal.

Curious to test if this frozen feast is a worthy alternative to a homemade dinner, Stuart Snowden, aka Grumpy Northern Foodie, took on the challenge. In his TikTok video, Stuart unboxed the sizeable package containing beef dripping roast potatoes, turkey breast joint, honey glazed parsnips, pork, sage and onion stuffing balls, sprouts with bacon, maple glazed carrots, 12 pigs in blankets, and a small pot of gravy. An included instruction leaflet provided simple cooking guidance.

After preparing the meal, Stuart served four generous plates and got down to tasting every element. His verdict? While this box won’t replace a freshly roasted turkey, it offers a convenient solution for those who may be alone over the holidays, working shifts, or simply wanting to avoid hours in the kitchen.

Highlights included noticeably improved turkey from last year, perfectly cooked roast potatoes, and a welcomed new addition of stuffing balls. The vegetables met expectations, and the pigs in blankets were plentiful. The only significant drawback was the gravy pot, which fell short for four servings—Stuart recommended grabbing extra gravy packets. He also noted that adding Yorkshire puddings would have made the feast more complete.

Overall, Stuart awarded the £25 Christmas dinner box an 8 out of 10, applauding its value and convenience, making it an excellent option for a fuss-free festive meal.
