A cyclist in his 40s was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on the A372 near Bridgwater, Somerset, in a hit-and-run incident. Emergency services responded to the crash, which occurred around 11:40 pm on Friday, 8 April. The vehicle involved fled the scene without stopping.
The cyclist sustained injuries to his right leg, foot, and wrist. He received hospital treatment and has since been discharged to continue his recovery at home.
Authorities are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward. The vehicle is described as large, white, and equipped with a loud exhaust system. Due to the late hour of the incident, details about the vehicle remain limited.
