A man in his 40s was injured and taken to hospital following a hit-and-run incident on the A372 near Bridgwater, Somerset. The cyclist sustained injuries to his right leg, foot, and wrist after being struck by a large white vehicle described as having a loud exhaust. Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, but the driver fled without stopping.
The injured cyclist has since been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home. Avon and Somerset Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward and assist with the investigation.
The collision occurred around 11:40 pm on Friday, April 8. Despite efforts, no further details about the vehicle or driver have been confirmed due to the late hour of the crash.
