A tragic collision on the A350 near the National Trust site in Lacock has claimed the life of a 64-year-old cyclist. The incident occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on January 20.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the cyclist was involved in a collision with a car. The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and police expressed their condolences during this difficult time.
A 38-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was subsequently taken into custody on an additional charge of causing serious injury by drug driving. Police continue to hold her as investigations proceed.

The A350 remains closed in both directions between Whitehall Garden Centre and Melksham Road, causing delays for motorists. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation, and road closures will remain in place until further notice.
