Community Rallies Around Twin Sons After Radstock Dad’s Death

The Radstock community has rallied around twin boys after their “lovely” and “genuine” father, Milan Svoboda, passed away from a Grade IV Glioblastoma, a fast-growing and aggressive brain tumor. Milan, 33, fought a courageous battle against the cancer after receiving the life-changing diagnosis in April 2023. Despite his wish to spend Christmas with his children, he was admitted to the hospital a week before and sadly passed away on December 31, 2023.

A colleague, Amy Parfitt, recalled Milan as a devoted father and fighter who was committed to his children. She described his love for the outdoors and his determination to provide for his sons, even during his illness.

Following Milan’s death, the boys, Matthew and Rodney, were taken into foster care by Milan’s friend Zoe Wetten, who initiated a fundraiser to support them. The response was overwhelming, with donations exceeding £14,000 within a short period. The funds will ensure the boys receive necessary support and have an advantage in life despite their difficult circumstances.

The touching generosity and support have deeply impacted Zoe, who expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love. The fundraiser aims to provide a secure future for the boys, who have lost everything they have ever known.
